Wednesday April 26th 2017

Anyone that would like to attend the community dance this Friday night ...come learn salsa and bachata.....the dance is here at the school gym from 6 to 9 .....it cost five dollars to get in..... You need to sign up for the dance..... there is a sign-up sheet outside of the career readiness Center which is located across from the nurses office.....sign up today!!!!!

 

Tickets are now on sale for our spring musical FOOTLOOSE.

Proteus cast members will be in the cafeteria during both first and second lunches all this week (and next!) so get your tickets. 

This 80's rock and roll dance musical opens May 5 and runs through May 14, Friday and Saturday nights at 7:00 and Sunday matinees at 2:00. Get your tickets today!

 

AP Exams start next Monday, May 1st. If you have not turned in your exam money, please see Ms. Place in School Counseling by the end of the week.

 

Roots Rising interviews will be held this Friday during lunch time. Please see Ms. Place or Ms. Kenney in School Counseling to confirm you would still like to be interviewed. If you have not confirmed by the end of the day on Thursday you will not be scheduled for an interview.

 

Attention Juniors and Seniors:

MCLA/BCC is offering a FREE 5-week Summer Academy designed to help students for college by earning six free credits.  The program includes Intro to Statistics and Intro to College Composition.  Paid internships are also available.  If interested - please go to the School Counseling Office for an application.  Due date is May 1st. There will be an information session held today at 5:30 PM at the Conte Federal Building.

PHS Morning Announcements

Thursday March 9th, 2017

March Madness Fan Bus sign-ups are in the main office. Return the permission slip by Friday, March 10th at noon.

 

Attention Freshman: Our Yankee Candle fundraiser is due tomorrow. Please return your fundraiser to Ms. Quinn or Ms. Kenney in the main office.

 

Tomorrrow at 6pm the student council will be holding a student faculty volleyball game. Sign-up will be outside Mr. Sheenan’s room (205) The sign-ups are strictly for senior boys and girls.

 

SENIORS:  The INTERNAL SCHOLARSHIP application offers students a chance to apply for over 40 different scholarships worth over    $20,000   by filling out one form.  These scholarships are for Pittsfield High students only, and every senior planning to go to college this fall should fill one out and return it to Ms. Valenti in the school counseling office by Friday, April 7, 2017.
